Hyperliquid — connect your wallet
No API key: connect the wallet you trade with and sign a one-time message to prove it’s yours. It takes about a minute.
- You will need
- The wallet you trade with (MetaMask, Rabby…) · No API key
On a computer, open Preuval in the browser where your wallet extension (MetaMask, Rabby…) is installed and unlocked.
In Preuval: select Hyperliquid and set the environment to Production. (Demo uses Hyperliquid’s testnet.)
Click Connect and choose your wallet, then approve the connection in the wallet.
Check the account to verify. Your connected wallet’s address is filled in; to verify a subaccount, enter the subaccount’s address instead — your connected (master) wallet signs for it.
Note: Subaccounts have no key of their own. Before anything is fetched, Preuval checks the subaccount is listed under the master wallet that signed.
Click Sign message and confirm it in your wallet.
Note: This is a message signature, not a transaction. It can’t move funds, place trades or approve spending, and it costs no gas. The message names preuval.com, your address, a one-time code and a 10-minute expiry.
Choose how your address appears on public pages (private by default), set the window, and start the verification within 10 minutes of signing.
What signing does — and doesn’t
It proves you control the wallet. The server checks the signature against the exact message it issued — once, only for your Preuval account, before it expires — before any data is fetched, and seals the signed message with your record so anyone can check how ownership was established.
It gives Preuval nothing else: no access to your funds, no trading permission, no token approvals, no gas. Preuval never sees your private key or recovery phrase. If a wallet ever asks you to approve a transaction or a spending limit for Preuval, reject it — verification never needs one.
You don’t have to sign every time
A proven wallet stays linked to your Preuval account for 30 days. Verifications in that time — including scheduled re-verifications — skip the signature; after it, you sign again.
A wallet belongs to one Preuval account at a time. If someone else signs with the same wallet, the link moves to them (it proves they control it now) and the change is logged.
Private or public address
Private (the default): public pages and the report show a shortened address like 0x1234…abcd. The full address stays in your sealed verification bundle.
Public: the full address is shown, so anyone can re-check the record themselves from Hyperliquid’s public data — the strongest kind of proof. You can switch between the two at any time from the result page.
On a phone
On mobile, wallets live inside the wallet app. Open preuval.com in your wallet app’s built-in browser (MetaMask, Rabby, …) and verify there — a regular mobile browser can’t see the wallet. WalletConnect isn’t supported yet.
How far back Hyperliquid’s history goes
Hyperliquid’s public API only returns each account’s trades back to a cutoff. For most accounts that is the whole history; for very active accounts it can be just the last few days or weeks. TWAP orders have their own, separate cutoff.
If your window starts before the cutoff, the part before it is a coverage gap: Preuval can’t see those trades, so it says so on the report instead of guessing. The gap lowers the grade — a required category covering under 80% of the window caps it at B- (off the leaderboard), under 50% at C+. The report states the exact cutoff date; starting the window after it avoids the gap.
If verification fails
- No wallet found: install or unlock your wallet extension and reload the page. On a phone, open the page inside your wallet app’s browser.
- Your wallet switched to another account: select the connected account in the wallet again, or press Change next to the connected address and reconnect.
- Signature expired: signatures are valid for 10 minutes. Sign the message again and start the verification right after.
- Not a subaccount of the signing wallet: connect the master wallet that owns the subaccount, or verify the wallet itself.
- Vaults can’t be verified as accounts yet.
