OKX — read-only API key

Trading-type key with the Read permission only, plus a passphrase you choose. You create the key on okx.com; it takes a couple of minutes.

You will end up with
API key · Secret · Passphrase
  1. Log in to okx.com.

  2. Go to Account, then API.

  3. Click Create API Key.

  4. Select Trading as the API type.

  5. Set a name and a passphrase.

Warning: You choose this passphrase and OKX will not show it again. Write it down — verification needs it alongside the key and secret.

  6. Under permissions, select Read only.

Warning: Leave Trade and Withdraw unchecked. Read is all that verification needs.

  7. Leave the IP whitelist empty.

  8. Complete the verification.

  9. Copy the API key, secret and passphrase.

Warning: The secret is displayed once and never again. Copy it before closing the dialog — if you lose it you have to delete the key and start over.

  10. In Preuval: select OKX, set the environment to Production, and paste all three values.

Save the credentials somewhere safe

Copy each value into a password manager as the exchange shows it. Secrets are displayed once, and a half-copied secret fails authentication in a way that looks identical to a wrong one. Preuval never writes your keys to disk — they are used for the run and discarded.

Key in hand?

OKX is preselected — paste your credentials and run the verification.
